The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies on the community.
SASSA will likely be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency said it is actually alarmed with regard to the high number of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the large number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the SRD lack of infrastructure website at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a regular basis. The company level produced for intervention activities a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it difficult to the Workplace to attend to all people who visit a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more sources to help the here servicing of all prospects and raise use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
